Institute for Democratic Changes - IDC is a membership based non-governmental, non-commercial legal entity, created according to Georgian civil code. Founders and the leaders of the organization are professional youth workers and activists in the field of Youth policy, Youth Work, Youth participation, Intercultural learning, non-formal education, Human rights education, democracy and etc. Most of members of IDC are young people from 18 to 30 years. Main goals of the organization are: To promote Human Rights, Democracy and Rule of Law, To support youth participation and volunteering on national and on international level, To promote innovation media/social media tools and instruments among young people, To make a contribution in implementation of youth policy, To support intercultural dialogue and intercultural learning, To promote peace on national, regional and international level.


The main activities of the organization is in the field of youth, particularly on human rights, human rights education, researches on youth challenges and existing problems, digital tools, media tools, simulations on conflicts, peace building, intercultural learning and self-directed learning. we are organizing youth exchanges, training, conferences, youth camps, conferences in frames of Erasmus + program and with other European and National partner organizations. We are sending and receiving organization of EVS volunteers. IDC is a member organization of National Council of Youth Organization of Georgia, Youth Peace Ambassadors Network and also a member of Youth Express Network. For now represented in the board of Youth Express Network and at National Youth Council. The staff and volunteers of the organization organizing and leading youth clubs for ethnic minorities and internally displaced young people, as well organizing meetings and presentations at the schools, workshops at the universities, debates, round tables and informative meetings with young people living in villages. For students and youth workers we are organizing training seminars and awareness raising activities as on national as on European level for members of Youth Express Network and Youth Peace Ambassadors network, as well non-formal education certificate programs for youth department of Georgia. IDC has 8 staff members and The volunteers who are involved in all steps of the project initiating and implementing - totally we have 50 volunteers from whom 30 are active volunteers. In general we strive for stimulating growth of independent and self-organized young life-long learners, who will be prepared to become a strong actor in modern dynamic worl
