Nikolas Nikolaou

Project Manager, ACPELIA, Cyprus

Nikolas Nikolaou (president of NGO ACPELIA) will have the main coordination of the program and actually he is the one that he will have in mind the whole procedure with partners organisations and he is going to keep timetable as an expert project manager. Due to the fact that he is an successful as a coach and organizer in his personal life as we can see from the small CV that follows he is going to have 2 evenings training of youth workers about his experience in coaching.

President of NGO ACPELIA (Mr Nikolas Nikolaou, physics teacher in high school, BSC, Msc in Chemical Engineering National Technical University of Athens and MSc, Bsc in the University of Cyprus at Physics department) has previous experience by taking part in many seminars and actions related to Environment, Non Formal Education, Entrepreneurship and Discrimination. He organized and participated in several European programs which are doing with Non Formal Education such as: Climate Changes As Fast As Fashion 2013 - 2015, Youth Exchange in Youth in Action Program, 2013 - 2015, Cyprus, www.ccafaf.webnode.com, Non Formal Environmental Education, https://www.nofee.webnode.com/, Training for Youth Workers, Erasmus Plus , 2015, Save Our Environment Save OurSelves, https://sites.google.com/view/soesos/home, double youth exchange about green entrepreneurship, 2018 - 2019; Another Way, KA205, Erasmus Plus program in adults education about another way of designing touristic and cultural paths for blind people. Erasmus Plus program with 4 countries (beneficiary country Italia) Project Manager of the program. As well as several local environmental and Science projects with groups of young people, many of them can be found in his website: www.nikolas-nikolaou.net. Also Nikolas is coordinating the biggest students and teacher annual Conference about Natural Sciences that is a yearly conference in Cyprus with the participation of more than 1000 students and more than 300 teachers. He manage to coach a team of the organised committee and to make them all doing well for 10 years now that is taking place the Conference starting alone and now has a big team to coordinate.

Evangelia Nikolaou 

Trainer, ACPELIA, Cyprus 

Evangelia Nikolaou graduated recently from the University of Hertfordshire with a first-class honours degree in Philosophy with Media having been awarded a fully-funded scholarship to study for a Masters of Philosophy at the University of Bristol. She has been involved in a lot of Erasmus+ projects, having been a leader in some of them. Her studies focus on equality, diversity, and inclusion, and she is constantly on the lookout for ways to expand these concepts. More particularly, empathy is her area of interest and future expertise. She strives to link empathy with diversity, equality, and inclusion, as well as with eco-friendliness where possible, in whatever project she is occupied with. Additionally, she ensures that she adheres to accessibility guidelines for visually impaired and deaf individuals in several projects (e.g., web design) and is genuinely interested in how we can improve our ability to demonstrate empathy in such instances. 

 

Erma Georgiou

Trainer, ACPELIA, Cyprus

Erma Georgiou has a great passion in the development of individuals as well as groups, and this is the reason that she decided to become facilitator at Acpelia. She gained a BA in Theatre Studies from the University of Athens, and then graduated from the drama school of G. Armenis.She is also registered as a yoga and meditation teacher from yoga Aliance Institude and has attended various seminar on theatrical techniques such as physical theatre, voice lessons e.t.c.But,she always searching ways to empower people and finding therapy through arts and therefore she attended drama therapy lessons. She has worked with children of refugee background in Elix N.G.O at Athens and she attended to the workshop "Facilitate Teachers using the arts in working with groups" from P.Y.E organization and she was impressed by the creativity of the process as well as the potential of arts to empower people. Shortly thereafter, she joined the Erasmus Plus non-formal education program called "How to be a mentor" in Lithuania. This program enabled her to see deeper that empowering others is the direction that she wish to grow professionally. During this programme she gained skills and competences such as the ability to commit in supporting, inspiring and motivating a positive outlook for the future.Afterwards, she found a creative program called "Mnimosini" at Hellenic Youth Participation,a group that the participants connect to each other through various artistic activities such as dance,dramatherapy,expression in painting and movement etc in order to create local art actions exploring the idea of identity and transformation. Last year, representing SEAL CYPRUS in the trainers' training "Dramatize" in Ukraine gave her the opportunity to expand in both a professional and personal level, while acquiring tools in which she can bring together both her passion for theatre as well as her passion to empower people and organizations.Last but not least, she educated and certified as aManadoob educator, a social emotional program that empowers and enrich the lives of children and at this moment she attends an online course "Introduction to Dialogue Facilitation", a useful tool for every facilitator. 

Elene Kapanadze 

Project Manager, ICT, Georgia 

Elene Kapanadze - Youth worker and Project manager From Georgia. I am passionate about my work, I have a steady source of motivation that drives me to do my best. I started my career in youth field in 2015, for now I am working Youth worker at Ministry Of Education of Georgia, International project manager at Institute For Democratic Changes (IDC) and Project manager at National Council Of Youth Organization Of Georgia. Also, I am board member at Youth Express Network and Advisory board member at Youth Agency of Georgia. I'm a people-person. I love meeting new people,I can almost always find common ground with strangers, and I like making people feel comfortable in my presence. I find this skill is especially helpful when kicking off projects and working with volunteers. My favorite hobby is photography and traveling. Traveling gives me a good opportunity to learn a lot about the history of the each country I visit, to see cultural and historical places, to meet and communicate with people of different nationalities, and to learn a lot about their traditions, customs and culture. From photography, I realized that getting a different view of things means you have a more open mind to the world. Which is why it's always been my favorite hobby.


Salo Kurdadze

Trainer Institute of Democratic Changes, Georgia 

My name is Salo Kurdadze. I am 26 year old. I am living in Georgia, Tbilisi. Several last years, I am actively working with youth in different direction as like: volunteer, camp leader, mentor, project coordinator, and trainer. I am working in Institute for Democratic Changes as a local project coordinator and Youth worker too. I am thinking, the biggest place, in my life, is occupied by young people. Also, I am working in Tbilisi city assembly, specifically in Urban Planning and Municipal Utilities Commission.

I am a dynamic, sociable and responsible person, who likes to mingle with new people, who tries to make other people smile and who is eager to know as much as possible about the world in which we live. Additionally to share with you I am in love in singing and i have singing skills. 

My biggest hobby is traveling, exploring different places, share other cultures and get familiar with country/city architect. Also, I am very interesting with traditional Clothing and food.
